AdBlue® & DPF Cleaner FAQ Malaysia

Straight answers on pricing, bulk delivery, fleet compliance, storage, and Singapore checkpoint rules for Malaysian fleet operators.

Pricing & Bulk Supply

What is the bulk AdBlue® price for prime mover fleets?
Fleet pricing starts from RM 4.50/L depending on monthly usage and delivery location. Locked-in contract pricing available for operators with 10+ prime movers. Contact us on WhatsApp with your fleet size and location for a custom quote.
Can I order full truckloads or IBC bulk AdBlue®?
Yes — 1,000L IBC totes and full tanker deliveries (5,000L+) are available. This is the most cost-effective option for large fleet depots. Minimum order for bulk pricing is 200L (one 200L drum).
Do you supply AdBlue® directly to truck depots?
Yes — we deliver directly to logistics depots, bus terminals, and industrial hubs across Malaysia. Highway rest-stop delivery can be arranged by appointment for urgent top-ups.
Is there a minimum order for bulk AdBlue® supply?
Minimum order is 200L (one 200L drum) for bulk pricing. For retail (20L cartons), no minimum. IBC tote pricing starts at 1,000L. Custom standing orders available for monthly fleet supply.

Delivery & Logistics

How fast can AdBlue® be delivered in Malaysia?
Klang Valley: 2–4 hours for orders before 2pm. Johor & Penang: Same-day delivery for orders before 12pm. East Coast (Kuantan, Kota Bharu): Next day. Sabah/Sarawak: 2–3 days freight. Call for urgent delivery arrangements.
Do you serve cross-border fleets to Singapore or Thailand?
Yes. Many prime mover operators schedule AdBlue® top-ups in Johor before Singapore entry, or in Kedah/Perlis before heading to Thailand. We support scheduled depot deliveries for cross-border routes.
Can I set up automatic monthly AdBlue® deliveries?
Yes — we offer monthly standing orders with scheduled deliveries at locked-in pricing. Ideal for fleet managers who want zero stockouts without manual reordering. Contact us to set up your account.

Packaging & Storage

Which packaging is best — 20L cartons or 1000L IBC?
For fleets with fewer than 5 vehicles, 20L cartons are easiest to handle. For 10+ vehicles, 200L drums or 1,000L IBCs significantly reduce cost per litre and simplify depot storage. For large operations, a tanker delivery with a fixed storage tank is most efficient.
How long does AdBlue® last in storage in Malaysia’s heat?
ISO 22241 standard specifies 18 months shelf life when stored below 25°C in sealed containers. In Malaysia’s tropical climate, keep AdBlue® shaded from direct sunlight. Stored above 30°C repeatedly will degrade quality faster. Use HDPE or stainless steel containers only — never copper, zinc, or aluminium.
Can I mix AdBlue® from different brands?
Not recommended. While technically the same chemical composition (32.5% urea + deionised water), mixing brands may introduce contaminants or concentration variances from lower-quality suppliers. Stick to ISO 22241-certified AdBlue® from a consistent supplier.
Can I refill my own AdBlue® tanks safely?
Always use purpose-made AdBlue® dispensing pumps or nozzles. Manual pouring with funnels risks dust and contamination entering the tank. A single contamination incident can damage the SCR injector, costing RM 3,000–10,000 to repair.

Fleet Compliance & Operations

Is AdBlue® mandatory for Euro 4 and Euro 5 trucks in Malaysia?
Yes. All Euro 4/5/6 diesel trucks with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems require AdBlue® to meet emission standards and pass JPJ inspections. Operating without AdBlue® causes the engine to enter limp mode and may result in fines during roadside enforcement checks.
What happens if my truck runs out of AdBlue®?
When AdBlue® runs out, the SCR system triggers a limp mode that limits engine power and speed (typically 20 km/h maximum). The truck cannot restart at full power until AdBlue® is refilled. Always keep 10–20L spare in the cab for long-haul trips, and set a refill alert at 20% tank level.
How much AdBlue® does a prime mover use per 100km?
Typical consumption is 3–7% of diesel used. For a prime mover using 40L diesel per 100km, expect 1.2–2.8L AdBlue® per 100km. Heavy vehicles like 8-wheel lorries use more. Most OEMs quote 4–6% as typical consumption under Malaysian conditions.

Singapore Checkpoint (HSU) Rules

What are the Singapore checkpoint smoke (HSU) limits for 2026?
From 1 April 2026, heavy vehicles above 50 HSU (Hartridge Smoke Units) will be turned back at Singapore entry points. Trucks must maintain below 40 HSU to safely comply. Using ISO-certified AdBlue® and maintaining your DPF is essential to pass.
Does poor AdBlue® affect HSU smoke readings at checkpoints?
Yes. Contaminated or diluted AdBlue® damages SCR catalysts over time, leading to incomplete NOx reduction and higher opacity (smoke) readings. Use ISO 22241-certified AdBlue® consistently to maintain a healthy SCR system and keep HSU well below 40.

DPF Cleaner

How often should I use AceRev DPF Cleaner?
Recommended every 5,000–7,000 km for heavy-duty trucks that frequently idle or operate on short-haul routes. Add directly to diesel tank when refuelling. Consistent use prevents soot buildup and reduces forced DPF regeneration cycles.
Will DPF Cleaner reduce fleet downtime?
Yes — regular DPF cleaner use lowers the risk of DPF blockages that force unplanned workshop stops or roadside regenerations. Many fleet operators report 20–30% reduction in DPF-related downtime with consistent AceRev use.
What’s the cost of ignoring DPF maintenance?
A blocked DPF requiring workshop cleaning costs RM 800–2,500 per clean. DPF replacement runs RM 8,000–25,000 for heavy vehicles. AceRev DPF Cleaner at RM 60–120 per treatment is a fraction of that cost — and prevents the problem entirely with regular use.
